Life's Little Lessons

I made Amish Friendship Bread last night, and after tasting it, decided it was not worth the time and effort.

There's a deeper meaning in there somewhere, but I'm not sure I want to look for it.

...friendship isn't worth the time and effort. That's why we stay home every night :)

Amber threw away her Amish Friendship Bread starter. I didn't complain.

I recommend making banana bread instead. It's yummier, healthier, and definitely quicker.

I was not impressed with the amish friendship bread either, but that was before it was bread. any food that takes that much effort needs to have more sugar in it, if you ask me.

i think the lesson i took from this is that generally, the amish are not that impressive.

I realize this makes me sound pretty stupid, but I had no idea what Amish friendship bread was. My first question was 'where the heck are they finding Amish people?" I have eaten at an Amish home only once, and it was the best meal I've ever had. Don't remember any friendship bread--either they didn't like me or they didn't like the bread themselves.

I guess next time you'll know not to make fun of their hats and kick the dog, or at least not until after dinner.

I have serious doubts about the authenticity of the "Amish" friendship bread, since it came to me with computer-printed instructions that indicated I should use a Ziploc bag in the making.
