We had a great time at Abby's birthday party at the park. The kids loved the egg hunt, throwing bean bags at the cow, and playing "Sheepie Sheepie, Go to Grass." The adults' favorite part was, of course, our magnificent cake. Not everything went quite the way I planned it (the pavilion was taken over entirely by a family reunion or something, and it was too windy for some of our games), but I think everyone had fun. Abby did, anyway, and that was the whole point.

DID YOU MAKE SUCH AN AMAZING CAKE??? i love it. i made a cake for ava tonight and it had plastic toys stuck on to it because i am, clearly, no crystal lefler. pity. please don't be offended that i don't share this photo with ava lest she see what she's missing out on.
Oh, no! Those are definitely plastic animals stuck on mine. I toyed for a while with the idea of making the animals, but my cake decorating skills are nowhere near that caliber.
